Nature

Richmond is one of London's leafiest Boroughs, home to Richmond Park with its freely-roaming deer, and a beautiful stretch of the Thames Riverside, providing plenty of picturesque walking routes. In neighbouring Kew is situated the world-renowned Royal Botanic Gardens, home to some of the most exotic plants in the world and the world's largest glass house. The gardens play host to music festivals, light shows and acrobatic displays throughout the year.

Culture

Larkfield Apartments are situated only a few minutes' walk from two live-performance venues: Richmond Theatre and The Orange Tree Theatre. The latter provides a unique, up-close experience in an intimate setting (to secure tickets it is best to book in advance). A boat, bus or train journey away is the spectacular Hampton Court Palace, once home to King Henry VIII and now home to the Annual Flower Show. The beautiful grounds contain the UK's oldest surviving hedge maze for children and adults to enjoy.

Sport

Local to Richmond are two of the most iconic sporting venues the UK has to offer: Twickenham Rugby Ground and the Wimbledon All England Tennis Club. Twickenham is the home of English Rugby Union, and the stadium hosts both international and domestic matches, along with live music events. Wimbledon represents one of the four majors of the global tennis circuit. If you are lucky enough to get tickets, both are thoroughly worth attending for the electric atmosphere. More locally, Richmond Pools on the Park offers a playground for children, tennis courts and an indoor and outdoor swimming pool 5 minutes' walk from the apartments, to cool off during those hotter days.

Shopping & Socialising

Richmond contains a vibrant town centre, housing a wide array of trendy pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes to enjoy, along with a cinema, boutique shops and many fashion outlets. For even more choice, a direct train gives easy access to Europe's largest indoor shopping centre- Westfield Stratford, offering an abundance of high-street and designer brands to indulge in.
